There are 4 speech therapists/audiologists that are responsible for parent guidance, auditory development, additional individual conversations, hearing aids, cochlear implants and FM systems.
Facilities for children with a hearing loss include:
- Full audiological management, including intensive parent guidance programme.
- Latest hearing aid cochlear implant technology
- The use of the latest FM technology in every class ensures an optimal listening environment for the child with a hearing loss, by minimizing the effects of distance, background noise and reverberation in the class. The FM technology used at the Eduplex is compatible with all types of hearing aids and cochlear implants and is also available for use by children with auditory processing disorders. Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorship opportunities exist for a number of our deaf children from disadvantaged homes. Currently the cost is R 25 000 p.a. which includes:
- School fees
- Audiological management
- After school care
- Parent guidance
