The Eduplex is unique
The Eduplex is a fully inclusive mainstream programme and caters not only for children with normal hearing but also for children with a hearing loss.
Children with a hearing loss are being educated alongside those with normal hearing. The bench mark is one deaf child for every 4 hearing children. Not more than 6 deaf children per class of 25.
Staff
There are four audiologists on the staff. They are responsible for parent guidance, auditory learning and additional individual conversations. Checking and sorting out of problems related to hearing aids and FM systems is also an important part of their duty. The audiologists are also responsible for the training of staff.
Training
The Eduplex has already established itself as a training centre and runs several courses throughout the year for:-
- Teachers and student teachers
- Audiologists
- Speech and language therapists
- Medical personnel
- Principals and staff of schools interested in our program
